Plowman has been used heavily in the Quaker Hill program. He was our pick of all the 6807 sons available because of his strong growth and scrotal performance. He is one of the highest ranked sons of 6807:  weaning #1, yearling #2, and #2 for scrotal epds with above average carcass traits being ranked #1 for ultrasound IMF. His scrotal epd is +.82 His first daughters are making good cows and his preliminary carcass data is encouraging. We will have nearly 50-75 calves by him in the next two calf crops.

4144 was chosen for his unbelievable birth to yearling spread. The sons of this great bull that have been entered in the VA Central Bull Test Stations by Echo Ridge Farm have continued to be one of the dominant sire groups year after year. His maternal grand dam is the dam of GAR Sleep Easy so the carcass potential on 4144 could be exciting. In addition, 4144 also has a scrotal epd of +.99 which is  the highest of all the 6807 sons. He is ranked #1 on yearling, #2 on weaning and #1 for scrotal epds.  4144 will see very heavy use in our program during this fall and next spring's breeding.

Rockett has stormed on to the Angus scene to claim his place as one of the top promising 6807 sons. He impresses us by his tremendous muscle volume and super fleshing ability. This young sire should produce phenomenal daughters because of the depth on the maternal side of his pedigree. His dam is a flushmate to the ABS sensation, Venture Forward, and his grand dam is one of the best Bando daughters in the breed. We expect the fertility of Rockett to be exceptional  as his 22 month scrotal measurement was 45 cm and a scrotal epd of  +.36

SS Traveler 6807 T510 has earned his place as the top AI sire that will use in this fall's breeding. He is the #1 marbling ultrasound EPD bull in the entire breed and he just happens to be a 6807 and that suits us just fine. He is also the lightest birth weight epd son of 6807 in the breed. Out of Philip Abrahamson's top cow, T510 is a proven calving ease bull with lots of muscle and fleshing ability. T510 should also transmit excellent fertility as his scrotal epd is +.20. He will be used heavily in our program along with his half brothers, Plowman, 423, 455 and 4144.

423 has been chosen to be used in our herd because of his expressive muscle volume and huge birth to yearling spread. He is typical of the 6807s in his capacity and fleshing ability. The fertility on this bull should also excel as he has a +.16 scrotal epd. The initial ultrasound data on 423 looks promising. He will be used on our Alberda Traveler 416 daughters to line breed the 6807 as well as the 315 lines in tandem.

 416 has been used in our embryo program with great success. He has produced some very stout offspring in our herd. 416 deserves interest as he is one of the top carcass sons of 6807. His kill carcass data and ultrasound data are exceptional. We plan to use him in tandem with 423 to intensify the 6807 and 315 lines in our herd at the same time. It is our belief  that this cross should produce outstanding muscling, fleshing ability and capacity while placing significant emphasis on carcass merit. He is also +.14 on scrotal, so fertility should be a plus also.

6I6 has been our choice to breed to virgin heifers. His birth weight is real! We have calved out many first calf heifers bred to 6I6 and they have calved with ease. The calves definitely come small and the heifers have lots of eye appeal. He will continue to be one of  the leading 6807 sons for heifer mating and commercial bred heifer projects.
